Selecting a compressor for your airbrush:
Most compressors will run airbrushes, as these need very little air, compressing air generates heat, so a compressor needs to stop and start regularly to give you the best performance. - Select a heavy duty compressor if you are going to use it regularly during the day
- Select a compressor with a receiver if you have a busy schedule and need the compressor to run for long periods (the receiver acts as a buffer and gives time to the compressor to stop and start, therefore allowing it to cool down)
- Select a compressor with receiver if you want to use more than one airbrush at the same time. (the receiver acts as a buffer so that the pressure does not fall when the second airbrush starts)
- You may want to look at our reference table for guidance
The recommended pressure for airbrushes is: 1.5 - 3.0 Bar (2 - 2.5 Bar is ideal). For spray guns 2-3 Bar. Please Note: All prices are inclusive of VAT at 17.5% but are subject to carriage, charged according to weight. |
